~Summoned~

"TW" (Contains blood and overall dark themes!!!)

This is the story of a young Necromancer who lost her memories.
Guide her through eerie levels as she makes sacrifices for a being she summoned.
This is to ensure he can physically manifest.

(This is a prototype, and I would like feedback on the gameplay feeling. I would continue this project adding much more story and objects, as well as hidden objects. if the basic gameplay seems fun.)

Controls are (ARROW KEYS) to move and, (R) to restart a level.
(ESCAPE) to exit back to the main menu.
There are 7 test levels included in this prototype.
This also happens to be one of my first attempt at a game that's not a visual novel, so expect bugs,

I like the art style, especially for the demons lurking underneath the floor boards and the game controls well. Here is some feedback

1. I think it would help the player if you started with some simpler levels, for instance a super straightforward level where the altar and the pentagram are right across from each other. At first when I started playing it wasn't clear to me that this was a sliding block game, so a super easy level will inform THE PLAYER WHAT THE GOAL IS WITHOUT HAVING TO EXPLAIN WITH TUTORIALS OR INSTRUCTIONS. This applies to other mechanics as well, slowly introducing them to the player in simple contexts allows them to learn how your game works so that they will be prepared in more advanced scenarios

2. I think it would be nice if at the beginning of each level The view zooms out to show the location of both the Altar and the pentagram. If it is important to the gameplay that the Altar needs to be discovered, maybe some sort of magical radar could be implemented. another idea is to have the player need to lure or trap a sacrifice in the altar before bringing it to the pentagram

I'm really glad you like the designs for the demons. I wanted to keep them simple, but people know what they were.
I'll defiantly be updating upon this one. Tutorials or simpler levels is something I will look into. 

I love the idea of luring a sacrifice, I may see if I can work with that.  Thank you again so much for the feedback.

Great prototype, i do like the gameplay love tho, i feel the box/altar moving can be improved, i do see the potential of this game in the long run with a bunch of cool and fun updates like traps, enemies and all sort of necromancin nonesense.

As I mentioned on the video a little bit of lore on our main character and quest would go a long way.

I would say really good job on your first non VN game, keep the good work!

I'll see what I can do with the movement on the box, and I'll defiantly be adding more traps in the future.
Learning about the player characters lore is for sure something I would like to implement into it.
Through several means, hidden objects as well as things at the start.
